I am a researcher in the field of Security & Privacy of Information Systems - especially those involving Web Technologies. My main focus here lies on examining the security and privacy guarantees of underlying protocols on which we rely every day. I love to distribute responsibilities and to lower dependencies - for which applied crypto methods are often well suited.
In addition to their technical building blocks, I observe information systems from a bird’s-eye perspective to identify socio-technical dependencies, to shed light on underlying trust assumptions, and to explore ways to reduce the complexity of the processes involved.
