The GI Quantum Computing Workshop 2026 offers a comprehensive platform for exploring cutting-edge developments and innovations in quantum computing. Aligning with the festival’s focus on Digital Resilience quantum technologies both contribute to and depend on resilient digital ecosystems: they promise new capabilities for secure communication, optimization, and trustworthy computation, while simultaneously introducing novel challenges regarding robustness, reliability, and sustainable operation. As the annual gathering of the German Quantum Computing community, this workshop will highlight how quantum technologies and resilient approaches to their design and deployment can strengthen digital resilience by enabling robust, trustworthy, and adaptive solutions with impact across disciplines.
The workshop invites submissions on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to Quantum Compute Models, Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Error Correction, Hardware, Platforms and Architectures, Software Stacks and Programming Languages, Quantum Complexity Theory, Quantum Information Theory, Quantum Communication and Cryptography, Quantum AI and Quantum Machine Learning, Quantum Education, and emerging application fields.
In addition to original research papers, surveys, and tutorials, the workshop welcomes work-in-progress reports and extended abstracts, including recent papers of interest that have been published or submitted elsewhere. Authors have the flexibility to decide whether their accepted contributions should be included in the proceedings, supporting both open dissemination and selective publication needs.
